The "Caroline" got a new (Re built) K14 brake stand with independent. A deal was struck with Rob Himoto and the Santa Maria Valley Railroad to acquire it. and Dennis brought it up to the ranch. Many thanks to Rob and his staff.Yesterday Jeff and I fired up and tested the #1 It steamed really good and was tight as a drum. Seven hours after we shut it down, it still had over forty pounds of steam on the gauge.
I am very happy with the new firing quadrant and system. It is much improved. Thanks goes to Jeff Badger and Ted Van Klaveren for helping me with some re-plumbing work
